Goran Kajfeš, Oddjob and Subtropic Arkestra
"Amazing sounds from Sweden" !
Swedish of Croatian origin, Goran Kajfeš is an indefatigable creator, a sparkling trumpet player, a key figure in the current Scandinavian scene, Winner Nordic Music Prize 2011. Trumpeter, composer, arranger and producer in his own groups or alongside pop and indie musicians (Mando Diao, José Gonzáles and Eagle-Eye Cherry, etc..), Goran Kajfeš deconstructs the boundaries between musical genres. He's written music to several movies and produced a number of albums including ”Clint” by Oddjob that was named Jazz Album of the Year 2010 by Sunday Times (UK). He is also a member of free jazz group Nacka Forum.
For the next season, Goran Kajfes will make two new records projects with Oddjob and Jazzoo part II the suit... and a symphonic project !
Suédois d’origine croate, Goran Kajfeš est un créateur infatigable, un trompettiste scintillant, la figure clé de la scène scandinave actuelle, récompensé du Nordic Jazz Price en 2011. Trompettiste, compositeur, arrangeur et producteur dans ses propres groupes ou aux côtés de musiciens pop et indé (Mando Diao, José Gonzáles et Eagle-Eye Cherry), Goran Kajfeš déconstruit sans relâche les frontières entre les genres musicaux. Il a écrit des musiques de films et a produit un certain nombre d'albums, dont "Clint" avec Oddjob, élu meilleur album de jazz de l'année 2010 par le Sunday Times (UK). Il est également membre du groupe de free jazz Nacka Forum.
Pour la prochaine saison, Goran Kajfes réalisera deux nouveaux projets discographiques avec Oddjob la suite de Jazzoo (Jazzoo II)... et un projet symphonique

PLAYS WEATHER REPORT (Cosmos Music Group 2016)
Oddjob plays homage to one of their household gods, the legendary jazz fusion band Weather Report. Digitial release on Amigo Musik/Cosmos and Vinyl release on Headspin Recordings early 2017 (vinyl edition limited at 500 copies).
